Global Santoku fluted Knife

The first Global knives were designed in 1985 by Komin Yamada. Global Knives are defined by razor sharp blades, smooth contours, a seamless design and their distinctive dots. Using the traditional Samurai sword craftsmanship, each Global knife is painstakingly handmade to guarantee perfection.

The G-48 Santoku knife is part of the ‘G’ series of Global Knives. The G series is a classic collection of large longer bladed knives. The blades are manufactured from a bespoke high carbon stainless steel (Cromova 18) that holds the steep, acute cutting edge whilst being robust and stain resistant. The ‘G’ series is designed with weighted hollow handles for perfect balance; true to the Samuri tradition. The dots on the handles are not only a designer’s touch; they ensure a non-slip grip, offering safety when cooking. The handles are also magnetic, allowing for a range of storage options.
